AboutBoston-born Uma Thurman left boarding school at 15 to become an actress. After moving to New York, she landed a role in the 1988 film Dangerous Liaisons.
But it wasn’t until her role in 1994’s Pulp Fiction that Thurman became a household name. From there, she starred in blockbusters Batman & Robin, the Kill Bill series and My Super Ex-Girlfriend.
Thurman was married to actor Gary Oldman until 1992, and then Ethan Hawke until 2004. Hawke and Thurman have two children together.
